11A – Idea Napkin No. 1

11A – Idea Napkin No. 1

1.) I would consider a person who likes to have plan before pursuing a goal or business. I do not have much first-hand experiences in business, however, it does not mean that I have not acquired skills which could be an asset to my business. For example, some skills that I acquired are the ability to communicate in multiple languages, entertain and start a conversation with customers, and quickly response to disaster. As for my business, I wish to open multiple stores and being able to bottle the drinks and introduce it to the mainstream market. If the business would to grow this big, I would prioritize most of my time to the business.
2) The café will introduce multiple type of bobas where customers can choose from. Thus the milktea can both satisfies the consumers thirst and hunger to a certain extent.
3) The café is geared toward college students, both male and female. Some characteristics that the customers possess include, willingness to try new things, slow pace of life, and like photography. I think that most of the customers will be people who like to explore new cultures.
4) Customers would pay because the drink and boba are something different that has not been introduce in the market as of right now. In addition, most people pay for food product because of its deliciousness.
5) I think that the one thing that set the business apart is that it everything homemade. This is the biggest difference between the competitors and my business.
I believe that these things to fit together because each aspects complement each other. For example, the customers’ characteristic of willing to try new things work together number two because we are introducing a concept that is completely different. Thus, it can even be claim that the characteristic of willing to try new things is vital to the survival of the business. It can also be said that the second aspect of number is out-of-joint with the other because fresh and homemade foods tends to be more expensive, thus this could be a factor the drives the consumers, especially college students, away.

  1. Hey Tan, I think you should elaborate more on your business idea. From the assignment I can understand the basics of it. However you should go into more detail about what exactly you are offering such as the types of bobas or the flavor of the milk teas. Also some framework of pricing would be nice as well so you know what you'll be getting from the business.

  2. I like the detail you put into your reasoning. I thought it was interesting that your typical customers might like photography(I am getting hipster vibes). But hey I like photography but I do not generally like to try new foods. I definitely like learning about new cultures and how they act but I can honestly say I dont really care for foods. Once your company gets large enough you are going to have to find some new way of mass producing your product which will take away from that genuine home made idea. Maybe you could live in your factory? Although I do pay for delicious things and I am sure that if your company sets up a strong vision and values statement for your employees then maybe your businesses can emit this strong vibe of comfort and happiness. Design all your stores the same with specific lighting, plants, sounds, and how the people interact. You would need very outgoing happy employees to have them make your customers feel comfortable and spark the urge for them to tell their friends and family.

  3. Hi Tan. I can tell that you put much thought into your assignment. You addressed that although you may not have the proper experience, this class will allow you to attain further knowledge on the subject of owning your own business. You identified the various aspects of your business and what your business is geared towards, specially who and what aspects of your business will be portrayed.

  4. Hi Tan good job once again. I'd like to try your milktea and I appreciate that everything is homemade. Do you think it will be easy to turn a profit if everything is homemade? I can envision your store with beautiful art and great music playing. Great post, but watch out for grammar mistakes.
