28A – Your Exit Strategy
1.) The exit strategy will depend
on the business performance and the need for the business. If within the next
five years the business does extremely well and the value of the business increases
drastically, then I will sell the business. However, if I think that I can grow
the business even more after the next five years then I intend to keep the business
for several decades and then sell it or pass the business down. Overall, I am
more for the idea of keeping the business.
2.) There are a couple of reasons as to why I
selected the strategy to keep the business. I think that within the next five
years, I will not have accomplished all of the ideas – or the dreams that I have
of what the business would be like. Thus, I would like to keep the business and
grow it further and then possibly sell it. In addition to this, the business
has a lot of memories and hard work that I have put in so selling would be
hard.
3.) I think that the exit
strategy has influenced other decision I have made in made concept. Rather than
growing the business quickly and then selling it off, I made decision that
would allow the business to grow steadily and possible last for a longer amount
of time. Other than the decision of growing the business, the other decisions have
not been influenced by the exit strategy.
Hey Tan,
ReplyDeleteI think your exit strategy would be a good idea! Especially keeping it and developing it for even greater growth. Did you think about keeping it as a family business or is this simply for you? I think your exit strategy is typical for food businesses. Your decisions line up pretty well with your exit strategy. If you were planning on keeping it then growing the business would be highly ideal for you!
Hi Tan. The fact that you made clear that the exit strategy would be dependent upon the state of the business at the time is wise. If you are doing well in the business, you will stay. This is a good opinion on your part.
ReplyDeleteHello Tan,
ReplyDeleteAND NOOOOOOO. I would hope that you would have chosen to keep the business without thoughts of selling it. Over the course of the semester I feel that our businesses reflect our personality and if your business becomes extremely successful I was hoping you were going to keep it! I mean I chose to not sell my business because it was going to be a direct reflection of myself into a business and I would not want my reflection to be poisoned by greed if I sold it.
Hello Tan, I enjoyed reading your post. You are very ambitious and I respect that. Growing your business steadily, is very wise. Rome wasn't built in a day. I hope your business is very successful in the next five years, but at the same time I think it would also be very cool if it was still growing and you stuck with it for a long time. I'm sure you will have great success.
